Following a B.C. Supreme Court promotion, the province has appointed a new judge to fill the vacancy in Penticton.
In a press release issued on Jan. 9, the BC Ministry of Attorney General announced the appointment of Tina-Marie Bradford to the Provincial Court, sitting in Penticton.
Bradford will fill the vacancy left by Justice Gregory Koturbash, who was appointed to the B.C. Supreme Court in November 2025 after 13 years on the Penticton bench.
With more than 25 years of legal experience, primarily in labour, civil litigation and human rights litigation, Bradford has served as in-house legal counsel at the BC General Employees’ Union since 2003.
The appointment is effective as of Feb. 9, 2026.
Bradford’s legal career began as a Crown counsel victim service worker with the B.C. Ministry of Attorney General.
This is the third Provincial Court appointment within two months, following appointments in Chilliwack and Nanaimo in December 2025.
All of the appointments are the result of a multi-step process, including review by the Judicial Council of B.C.
