Kelowna RCMP surrounded a city bus the afternoon of Wednesday, Jan. 14.

The bus was stopped by multiple police vehicles on Rutland Road North near Highway 33 for a report of a weapon that came in at 3:49 p.m.

RCMP spoke with several riders, but found nothing to support the claim.

The transit supervisor was notified of the incident.
