Kelowna man faces robbery, assault charges following stabbing incident

A Kelowna man has been arrested fo allegedly stabbing a random person earlier this week.

On Tuesday, March 3, Kelowna RCMP responded to an active assault at the intersection of Capri Street and Harvey Avenue.

The victim of the assault was taken to the Kelowna General Hospital for treatment.

Charges were soon laid on Brady Dolphin, who then appeared in B.C. Provincial Court on March 4. Dolphin is now facing multiple charges including robbery, failure to comply with probation order, assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

“Dolphin remains in custody pending his next scheduled court appearance on March 19,” said Cpl. Steven Lang, media relations officer for the Kelowna RCMP.

“The coordinated police response resulted in an unpredictable situation being brought to a safe conclusion,” Lang added.

The RCMP’s General Investigation Section has taken charge of the investigation and are asking witnesses to contact the Kelowna RCMP’s information line at 250-762-3300. quoting file number 2026-12832.

Drives who were around Harvey Avenue between Burtch Road and Gordon Drive around 12:30 to 1 p.m. on March 3 are also asked to contact the RCMP to provide dash camera footage.
