3-goal second period leads West Kelowna Warriors past Salmon Arm Silverbacks

Three second period goals led the West Kelowna Warriors past the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 3-2 on Friday, Mar. 6.
Liam Nilsson (16), Ruslan Jamaldinov (21), and Caden Kemkaran-Humble (7) all scored in the middle frame as the Warriors won despite having just 16 shots on net.
Jamaldinov, Max Dinneen, Noag Garthe, Natan Éthier, Dylan Krayer, and Olivier Chan all collected assists.
For Salmon Arm, Mateu Späth opened the scoring late in the first period with his 13th of the season while Landon Mackie (21) scored late to make it a one-goal game.
The Warriors were able to hold on however as Angelo Zol made 34 saves to earn his 24th win of the season.
With the win, the Warriors remain second in the entire BCHL with a record of 35-9-2-0. Salmon Arm is now 20-22-3-2.
West Kelowna returns to Royal LePage Place on Saturday, Mar. 7 as the team welcomes the Spruce Grove Saints (25-20-2-0) to town. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
