VIDEO: Last stop Kelowna for Easter Seals Drop Zone fundraiser

All funds raised in Kelowna will support Camp Winfield

Kelowna’s Landmark buildings were busy Sept. 26 as people gathered to fundraise for Easter Seals.

The Drop Zone event runs annually across B.C. Kelowna was the final stop on this year’s tour.

The event hoped to raise over $300,000 province-wide and was over $250,000 upon arriving in Kelowna.

VP of Philathropy and Engagement with Easter Seals BC Mike Leland said Kelowna had the most willing participants with 55 people dropping down the 24-storey building.

“Easter Seals works with people with disabilities… Here in Kelowna we have Camp Winfield in Lake Country. Children, youth, and adults can come enjoy a weekend where they can be amongst peers, attend programs and services that help them build confidence, self esteem,” Leland said, noting all funds raised in Kelowna will stay local.

Donations can still be made online at thedropzone.ca.
