Federal Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre will be visiting the Okanagan on Oct. 11.

He will take part in an event at Summerhill Winery in Kelowna in the morning, and then host a ‘Bring It Home’ rally in Oliver in the evening.

Several recent national polls show the Conservatives with approximately 39 per cent support from Canadians, with the Liberals at 29 per cent and the NDP at 18 per cent.

Poilievre was last in the Okanagan in July when he visited Penticton, which along with Oliver, is in the federal riding of South Okanagan-West Kootenay represented by NDP MP Richard Cannings.

Last month Cannings, who is 69, announced he was retiring from politics and will not be seeking re-election in 2025.
