UPDATE: Garage fire extinguished on Ivans Court in Kelowna

Fire crews are on scene

UPDATE: 12:55 p.m.

The structure fire on Ivans Court is under investigation. 

Kelowna Platoon Captain Scott Clarke said the call came in for black smoke coming from a house. 

No one was home at the time, but a neighbour was able to get the door code from the homeowners to enter the garage. 

A small contents fire was found inside and quickly extinguished. 

Clarke said the fire does not appear suspicious in nature, but the cause has yet to be determined. 

No injuries were reported. 

UPDATE: 12:14 p.m.

The fire has been extinguished inside the garage of a home on Ivans Court.

The blaze appears to have been contained to the garage.

Burnt debris is being pulled from the garage by firefighters.

Fans are being placed around the home to help ventilate the residence.


Smoke can be seen coming from a garage on Ivans Court in Kelowna just before noon, on Monday. 

Firefighters have entered the garage and are reporting there is a blaze inside. The garage is attached to the home.

At least four fire trucks are on scene. 

It's unclear if anyone is home at this time.
