The Coquihalla snowshed protocol will be implemented along Highway 5 from Hope to Merritt, at 3 pm. on Jan 5, due to heavy snowfall in the forecast.
Approximately 20 cm of snow is expected to fall on the highway overnight.
Yellowhead Road and Bridge Nicola Ltd., the contractor that provides road maintenance for the area, urges people to be cautious of snow removal equipment and crews who will be working throughout the evening.
