A brave patient left their stuffed bunny behind at the Kelowna General Hospital and staff are working to reunite the pair.

The bunny was returned to the floor after taking an accidental visit to the laundry department.

Brandy, a registered nurse who works on the pediatrics floor at the hospital believes that the bunny may have been lost by a young patient.

“I want this to be my mission to reunite this bunny with its owner because I just know how special these items are for kids,” said Brandy.

She explained that the hospital can be a scary place for children, and that stuffies play an important role in keeping young patients feeling comforted.

“It breaks my heart that this one child has lost their stuffy at a place where they probably felt really scared.”

The bunny is currently being taken care of by hospital staff while it waits to return home.
