Why stop at your first career KIJHL point when you can get your first four career KIJHL points all in one game?

That’s what Kelowna Chiefs defenceman Jake Kessler did to earn the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s second Star of the Week honour.

The Warman, Sask. native scored a goal and added three assists in the team’s 9-3 win over the Spokane Braves at Rutland Arena on Saturday, Oct. 28. His first career point came on the opening goal of the game while he also assisted on the eventual game-winning goal.

With the win, the Chiefs are second in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with a record of 4-7-2-0. The Chiefs are back in action on Friday, Nov. 3 against Kimberley.
